Alpha to Omega Global School, managed by the Selvanathan Educational Foundation, is a leading inclusive Cambridge International school in Chennai (Centre No. IA595) dedicated to nurturing every child’s potential through progressive, research-based pedagogy. The Foundation, rooted in the Sri Krishna Trust with over 35 years of experience supporting children with Specific Learning Difficulties (SLD), focuses on innovative, research-backed teaching that enhances cognitive growth and critical thinking. At Alpha to Omega, we believe every child learns differently — and every learner can succeed. We strive to build mainstream classrooms that meet the diverse needs of today’s heterogeneous learners, fostering holistic development and preparing students to succeed in life. Our Cambridge curriculum, delivered through differentiated pedagogy, promotes conceptual understanding, independent learning, global competence, emotional well-being, and creativity.

Who we are

The Selvanathan Educational Foundation was established to implement innovative, research-backed teaching methodologies and instructional programmes that strengthen cognitive development, critical thinking, and academic excellence. The Foundation’s roots lie in its parent body, the Sri Krishna Trust, which has over 35 years of expertise in supporting children with Specific Learning Difficulties (SLD) through remedial education and full-day school facilities.

Founders Letter

For over 35 years, we have been working with some of the best institutes that specialize in learning development to implement researched-based, best-practice interventions that help children overcome learning challenges. We are founded on the belief that there are no limits to what a child can achieve. We are dedicated in providing an education that prepares children through their development needs at each age, so that they can learn to think deeply, accept the challenge of hard work, be intellectually independent and to value themselves and others.

We have seen underachievers and children at risk succeed through school and graduate to live truly independent lives. This has involved a consistent and structured approach with children coupled with strong administrative and instructional commitment from our teachers to create high quality teaching and a lasting impact. Watching our children dream big and working hard towards achieving these dreams drives us to continuously work towards our long-term goals.

Reaching out to those struggling in school initially on a one-to-one basis, moved our mission to creating a full day school program under the National Institute of Open School. As an accredited Centre from 1997 we have been operating as a structured school under this board.

Since our inception, we have focused on equipping teachers with methodologies to teach differently and positively impact children both academically and to live life in the long run.

Working directly with educators in spreading word and techniques to create a supportive community is a critical part of the Alpha to Omega soul.

We are very excited to be opening our first Centre in Singapore in 2015 and working with parents, schools and communities to impact a larger population of children in the region.

Now with our experience and feedback from our alumni who are excelling in their various fields, has initiated us to begin a mainstream inclusive school. The new venture will offer alternate board Cambridge and NIOS to help students achieve their full potential and override any segregation. All students in the new system will follow a system of their choice, with wide range of options, to meet their career decision. The new system will incorporate all the research-based techniques used by the current system, to enrich their cognitive, social, academic needs and take care of all their learning needs.
